Jewish genealogical research can be difficult and confusing because people had many given names and nicknames in various languages and alphabets.
In this Ask the Expert session, Warren Blatt, Managing Director of JewishGen.org will answer questions about the history and patterns of Jewish first names, and how to recognize names in genealogical sources.
How this works:
1. Submit your question.
2. On Tuesday, February 16th, 2016 at 12:00 pm (EST), questions and answers will be posted on the JewishGen Facebook page.*
3. Warren will be online during the session to answer follow up questions.
4. When the session is complete, everything will be placed into an
InfoFile.
*You do not need to be a member of Facebook to submit a question and
then view the answer. However, you do need to be a member of Facebook
if you wish to post a follow-up question/comment.
