After a multi-year process, the Washington Football Team has been renamed the “Washington Commanders”. In an interview on the Today Show, team president Jason Wright announced the new name of the team. “It’s the name that has the weight and meaning befitting of a 90-year franchise,” Wright said, “it’s something we could own and grow for the next 90 years.”
